Hello My friend has a GT avalanche 1.0 2011 But need some new folks.
Do folks come in specific fitting sizes? or can you basically choose any you like? What folks does this bike need? He's looking for the cheapest upto £250.

Thanks.

This is all I can think of when people say 'folks'

Look at Rock shox Reba's. They are probably the best FORKS at this budget

Why does your friend 'need' new forks?
  • lol i just woken up.

I'm pretty sure the bike will have a standard head tube so any standard 1 1/8 forks will fit. Don't buy a tapered steerer and make sure if you buy second hand there is enough steerer tube. To be safe, measure the steerer on the old fork and make sure the new ones have as much or more. Stick with 100mm travel as this is what the bike is sold with. You could probably push to 120mm but frame warranty may be void.

    What are the current forks?
