Anyone else being playing Olympic Top Trumps?
The London 2012 site is actually a mine of useful information about the Olympics. It unlocked a few things that made me smile. Let me share....
Vania Stambolova was expecting great things in the 400m hurdles until she, um, stumbled over
I bet Yoshie doesn't take any crap.
I wonder if friends and family have an affectionate name for the fragrant Ms Eshete
I'd love to see some success for this chap from Malaysia in today's track cycling. if only to hear Hugh say "Awang Keirin on the podium"
Finally, I was very sad to see the Cayman Island athlete's misfortune in the final heat of the men's 100m on Sunday, Hyman splits when presented with a semi.
You've been a great audience. Thank you and good night.

I do hope he/she didn't muff up their dive.
I believe that Mister Jose Roberto Reynoso Fernandez Filho is likely to be a big name at these Olympics. Mr. A perhaps less so. He does however hope to come first in the roll call.Nobody told me we had a communication problem0 -
Here's a chap who must experience something we cyclist might come across - either on a long ride, or erm... a long ride...ahem...

From the 2010 Winter Olympics, Ms Fanny Chmelar: http://espn.go.com/olympics/winter/2010 ... ny-chmelar"Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"

Not Olympic names, but I have a colleague in the legal department in the USA called Eric Hunt, and a colleague in Brazil called Helena Furquim.FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits

My favourite is Vania Stambolova who fell in the hurdles. With a surname like that, what did she expect!?0

Again, not from the Olympics, but our Internal international business directory yeilds a few belters;
Richard Head
Ma Pony (presumably he/she is Little)
Willy Hung
Bum Sik Shin
Win Chen (must like being out with the laydeez)
Aaron Dong
Tae Won Joe (who won the dyslexic olympic martial arts event)
Jin Bum Lim (which might or might not be a drinking game)
Ida T Maewei, but so did ol' blue eyes.....
Peter Pot, who is somewhat appropriately based in Amsterdam
Linda Sakket (may have lost her job)
Bomin Song (heard a few of these at the Olympic closing ceremony)
Samurai Tsi - I just liked this, I mean who would call their kid 'Samurai' (probably Posh & Becks....)
I'm sure non-UK nationals find our names hilarious as well..."Get a bicycle. You won't regret it if you live"
