Hi All
Well after reading articles on the site and browsing the forum for a while I was inspired to get back into cycling and mountain biking I visited a few local bike shops and Halfords to see what was available. The toss up ended being between a Voodoo Hoodoo which there was an excellent write up on the site and a Carrera Fury. After trying both i found i preferred the Hoodoo.
Anyway picked it up at the weekend very happy so far standard at present. Going to order a Zefal cage and water bottle, Bionicon chain guide, CycraGuard front and rear guards (prob only use the front) and a NiteRider Mako 5.0 light.
Only done about 10 miles on it so still a bit shiny lol. I know there is another Voodoo up at the moment on a diet but just thought i would share mine also very pleased with it :-) hope all like
Just to point out this really is me just getting back into biking haven't been out properly since I was about 18 and now I am fast closing on 30 lol. Last bike was an old Huffy hardtail from the late 90's its knocking about somewhere but a new bike was the way to go never really been into the road bikes more into the mountain biking.

Thanks Rideontime
discovered my first problem the third chain ring had no bump guard/protector on it and it is tearing up my trousers. Ordered a Blackspire Big Ring Protector for it today so hopefully that will sort it needed it anyway very nearly smacked the third chain ring today of concrete rookie mistake I didnt want to drop the third ring so this way i get the best of both worlds.
I am sure the bike is not the spec a top end mountain biker would go for but i am loving it with 168 views i was starting to think no one liked it0 -
Just noticed the front tyre is on back to front lol halfords attention to detail is shocking only just noticed myself
is this going to cause me problems or will it be ok
Thanks

You might not notice a problem per se but there is a correct direction for a reason, might be worth trying it on both though because it is largely personal preference.0

thats cool, i have not noticed any issues yet will change it round at some stage to see if it makes a diffence. The Blackspire Big Ring Protector I had ordered arrived today fitted and all good job.
Thanks for your help
