Hi Folks
Newby poster here so be gentle.
I have an old Scott G-Zero FX 2.5 and want some advice on changing the rear shock for something with a lockout.
I'm on a budget of max £200 & thought i might be able use a bargain for the chain reaction sale.
I'm a lightweight weekend trail rider looking to get back into it!
Any thoughts?

Thanks
Si

    what year FX 2.5?

    how to info here viewtopic.php?f=40073&t=12678279

IIRC some of the G-Zeros had odd sized shocks that meant upgrading was not possible/cheap.

Thanks for the quick reply nick
    I think it's a 2002 or 2003 bike in the blue black.
It's a shame if i cant firm it up some as the rear is a bit sloppy now & i had to replace the front shock earlier in the year.
I'll have a look at the shock and see if i can figure out the size. Dumb question but can i do that with it still on the bike?
I am a total donut when it comes to stuff like this as i tend to just get on it and go.

really it needs to be off so the spring can be removed.

TBH your best bet for now will be to call TFtuned and Mojo and ask about replacment shocks. they may have some answers.
