Aqua pack nastiness

Hi, I have noticed that the valve attached to my aqua pack (so not the one on the mouth end of the tube) is starting to develop a small amount of green discolouration! Obviously that's the hardest place to clean. I've tried soaking, poking and steaming and its still not as you might want something that has drinking water passing through to be. Any other tips, will it kill me for instance? I stearilise it after use now and try and store it as dry as possible.

Cheers, any advice would be grand!

Empty and keep it in the freezer.

Just to clarify - freezer-ing it won't clean it, it just stops the growth of bacteria in the first place.

Get some milton in it & soak it for a few hours... just dont forget about it and leave it in there for days as it will rot the bladder after time
