  • Jinkies that was brutal and funny in equal measure. I thought at first it was due a slippy road but I followed some you tube links and loads fall off at that point. How steep is the hill ?

    So many riders struggling up that hill with gears to spare.
    Macho, inexperienced or unfamiliar with the route?

    Steep hill, wet surface and standing up leaning forward = recipe for rear wheel slip.
    None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

    Not sure on the gradient but from the video even the an post rider is having to put the pressure on the pedals. I was wondering myself where it is exactly. It's probably made worse by the fact there is some serious climbing before they hit it. 7,500 ft in that sportive.

    I found it on Strava .. it looks like to just west of Ballynahinch, north of Dromara.

    Yeh, that's a very hilly sportive! Think I'll do it next year.
