Best place to buy a Park truing stand

I'm seriously thinking about getting a TS-2.2 having done a wheel building course. UK prices seem really high - I've found a small saving here:

Can I do better than this?

Bought mine from America, saved £100 but that does not include postage and import duty as I am collecting it.0

Unfortunately not an option for me.
And it's not worth doing it if I do have to pay those things.0 -
Bike discount seems the cheapest... Nice piece of kit, bit OTT for a starter, I had to build many wheels to pay for it...left the forum March 20230

Perhaps OTT, but past experience has shown that I've never regretted buying good quality tools. Cheap stands don't let you build as quickly and/or accurately and I'd probably end up upgrading down the line anyway.

Buy the wheelpro wheel building online book and there is a template to make your own from MDF for less than £25 - if you're handy with a router and have a couple of hours, easy peasy !A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it

I'm aware of that. When it comes to speed of working and building to 0.1 or 0.2mm trueness I think the Park will still be superior though.0 -
Have to agree, TS-2.2 will of course be more accurate and most likely quicker but for the £200+ish it'll cost you.....
Don't get me wrong, I really want one but couldn't justify the expense, I like playing with routers and wood (oh er !!) and had time on my side so made mine. For the occasional build and periodic maintenance it does me fine and is actually surprisingly sturdy (all made from 24mm thick MDF, heavily braced, glued and screwed).
Just checked your link, good price ! When I was looking 4 months ago I could't find one for less than £220.A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it
