Wheel upgrade - a question

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. I have just realised that my faith in the ability of us males to ensure importance is applied to any subject no matter how trivial. I especially liked the popcorn interjection.
The petty little rows almost added to the whole amusing discussion. So lighter wheels work if they lighten your bike and rotational weight is of little consequence. I'll get lighter wheels then ......... because it will make me feel good and lighten my bike overall.
Once again thank you for the entertainment0 -
Entropy anyone? Rotational Inertia being proportional to the square of the radius? Real-world road surfaces and the constant decelerations they apply?Music, beer, sport, repeat...0

The wheels are all 700c and this is not a discussion about rolling resistance.0

It's not just about the rolling resistance it's about the constant bumping around of the bike and the decelerations applied by lots of small impacts. Or big impacts if you're on the roads round here.Music, beer, sport, repeat...0
