Hi guys, i have a bit off a dilema.Eventually managed to free some cash up for my next bike but cant decide which one to go for.My absolute maximum is £900.After looking at todays issue of MBUK i like the look of the B'Twin Rock rider 9.1 (£699...Decathlon) also like Vitus Escarpe 2 (£879..Chain reaction),Vitus Blitz 2 (£799....Chain reaction) and Ghost ASX4900 (£799...Chain reaction and also my LBS).Has anyone got one of these and how do you rate them?Any views would be appreciated.

Tell people where you are going to ride, and then put some links up to the bikes.0

I bought the Vitus Escarpe last week & am really really pleased with it.
Researched bikes at that price point up to around £1k+ for ages. Absolutely nothing comes close to it at that price.
5 days in the saddle now and its a very capable and well balanced bike and can within reason handle some proper UK Downhill action and felt fine on XC loops. The geo feels great.
Not many reviews on the bike so felt a bit of a plunge into the unknown buying the bike - but there is a decent review of the Escarpe here that made my mind up for me: http://www.dirtmtb.com/2012/07/vitus-escarpe-2-review-mini-first-look.html

Yes I bought Escarpe 2 last week as well, simply a great bike for silly money MBR (im sure a swearword on this forum) gave it 9/10 in this months edition and was only beat by the Giant Trance, MBR also had at the RRP which was £1250 I think, so at £880 its quite simply a bargain. Only downside I would say was that the paint does scratch quite easily I have riden a couple of times and there are scratches on it and I am very careful with my bikes!
I only bought as have a 100mm Anthem and wanted something long travel which wasnt going to cost lots of money! you wont find better forks on a bike this price!0
