Hey
This is my first ever post on BikeRadar and I wanted peoples advice on the Raleigh Park Avenue Hybrid bicycle. This is my first hybrid bike and I would mainly want to use it on the road to replace my mtb.
I haven't been able to find a review of it and wanted to know peoples opinoins on it. Heres the link:

Hopefully can get a 10% nus extra discount on it too
And yes I know its halfords -.-
Thankss!!!

I can't comment on the Raleigh other than to say that £250 is the minimum (roughly) that it's worth spending on a new bike. Below that and you may start to get frustrated pretty quickly with what you've bought.
It would be useful to know what you're going to use the bike for and over what sort of distance, surface and terrain. "Hybrid" covers a huge range of bikes and the Raleigh looks to be definitely at the sedate end of that sepctrum. If you want to see a bike increase in on-road performance compared to your mtb I'd suggest you look at something else.
If you still have your mtb (and you're not having to replace it because it was stolen), my gut feeling is that you'll be better off putting a pair of slick tyres on your mtb than buying the Raleigh. For the cost of the Raleigh you could even get an extra set of lightweight mtb wheels with a close-ratio cassette and slicks and swap these onto your bike for road use.0
