Hi all
Just thought I'd introduce myself, I guessed this was the best place.
I've recently bought myself a bike to keep myself fit whilst recovering from an injury which is keeping me from playing my preferred sports (hockey & football). After much research, umming and erring over which bike to buy I got myself a Giant Talon 1 2011 with quite a hefty discount.
I've only been on 2 proper rides so far (9 miles and 11.6 miles) but thoroughly enjoyed them both and think I've been bitten by 'the bug' I can't wait to get out again! The route I've found is really good to start riding on with a good mix of downhill tracks into the river valley and then gradually uphill along the local canal for a few miles and all the way back again. I'm looking to discover as many places to ride as possible, if anyone in the Stockport/Greater Manchester area wants to show a newbie the ropes then it would be much appreciated!
A pic of my new favourite toy:
A pic of how muddy I managed to get myself and the bike last night!
