Hi, any Salsa Caseroll or Condor Fratello owners on th forum. If so whats your thoughts about them? I seem to be drawn to these two bikes for my next bike purchase. For day rides on road and not loaded except for small saddle pack, any info welcome. Cheers.

The Gold Casseroll was a very good frameset... does the new one not have V Brakes? If so get the Fratello

    Very happy with my Fratello.

    With one provision. No racing.

All that comfort comes at a price as I have recently discovered. There are a couple of Strava segments on my commute that I have been having a successful go at :P but while under full load the bike feels as if it is all over the place. I am not sure if it is the frame, stem, bars or all 3 but it is a bit wobbly under full load.
I am still happy to use it in full comfort, and recommend it, but you have to be aware of it's limitations.
It takes full guards and has bosses for panniers so as a non-racer, it fits the all round bill nicely.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Thanks for the replies, the bike isn`t to load up, it`s just going to be a pack under the saddle, i am loooking for something will be a bit quicker than my 1996 dawes galaxy, no racing just days out.

Thanks for the reply, i`m not very knowledgeable about various types of brake, would the V brakes be a problem. ? Cheers.

Not a problem, but they are not as good as caliper brakes... the old one had caliper brakes, so it's a bit of a downgrade over the previous model, that's all... I guess the new one takes mudguards easier

Thanks for that mate, i`ve had had look at the new Salsa and they have changed the brakes, to make the bike more versatile. Thanks again.
