Airports and bike bags!!

Hi Guys
I am thinking about taking my bike away (winstanely Bike bag) to work, just want to know if using/checking in a bike bag at an airport is just the same as checking in your cases??

    Need to let the airline know that you are transporting a bike otherwise they may refuse your bag. Check with your airline most charge a premium too.

    Have had issues with certain airline refusing to bring my bike back after holiday as not correctly booked.

    Yup, check with the carrier. Most now charge (but BA don't). Then it's normal check-in but it will have to go through special/oversize handling.
