Stumpy evo 2012

Just a weird one and I may be wrong but, is the stumpy evo comp 2012 the same as the American release stumpy elite 2012? They look the same seem the same but why the different names? It's only cos I have a elite 2011 and has been looking to see what the new spec was but could only find the US version.

    Not sure about US version but there is a Stumpy Evo 2012 in Canada.

    Looking at the spec of the 2011 Elite it appears to me to be a more xc oriented bike (brain shock and all that) rather than the trail oriented Evo so my guess is they are totally different. The Elite on the US site is very similar to the 2011 UK elite. The Evo has upped travel and beefier components so as I say - not the same - very different directions in fact. The Elite didnt make it to Canada, I think its only aimed at gay americans now. Sorry.

    The EVO models have a slightly slacker head angle as well.
