Paint chips and damage

Is bad corrosion or damage likely to be caused by paint chips on the frame of my bike. It's an M4 alloy frame full sus and there's a few knocks and scrapes (my knees have the matching scars) on the top tube, rear seat stays and around the headset. You can see through the paint on some, but not all, there's no damage to the body of the frame itself, just the aesthetics.
I've taped over the ones on the seat stays, but the top tube one hasn't grown worse or changed since I first did it, so probably didn't need to.
Anyone have sensible ideas or advice on limiting any corrosive damage, or will it be fine so long as I don't fall onto a hacksaw? (I've used some clear stickers to limit cable rub damage and so on - I guess paint chips are part and parcel of riding a bike in the woods where hard stuff lives).

More than that, aluminium oxidises to provide a hard protective coating.0
