Apparently, according to an episode of QI I'm watching the use of ^s either side of a statement used to (at one point) indicate that the enclosed statement was intended as sarcasm.

Fantastic! It may save me frome being flamed as often as I am :D

FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
Litespeed L3 for Strava bits
