When,

On the day of the olympic TT your chain snaps on the ramp of the start house and you get a puncture in the first 10K!

Felt sorry for Luis Leon Sanchez (I'm sure it was him) today. That is real sh1t luck.

It the sad reality of the sport; that years of sacrifice, training and hard work can all be undone by simple equipment failures and punctures, and of course we all offer sympathy to Sanchez, who has always come across as a decent bloke. However, things like that also add to the drama and pathos of the sport, and make it the unique and exilarating spectacle it is.

As long as it doesn't happen to one of our chaps!!!!

Why is it the mechanics fault though? How can you tell when a chains going to break? These things happen.

He was putting far too much power down for such a small chain :-)

Nobody else seemed to have the same problem though. Also, I'd expect is spare bike was the same setup and that was OK and that was fine, minus the p*******
