Does anyone have 3rd Party cycle insurance? I'm looking into it - LCC seem to have a good setup, good cover etc. However, looking through their 'rides listing' there's a lot of the Critical Mass stuff....is LCC and Critical Mass the same thing?

no nothing to do with one another as far as I'm aware.

I've got 3rd party cycle insurance via British Cycling - search the forum there's a thread with a discount code which mean't I got it for £12 per year - might still be active?

Are you referring to this insurance - http://www.bcbikeinsurance.co.uk/ - think I will sign up to BC tonight, and also this insurance.

Any idea where this discount code is - I can't seem to find it?

No, on the british cycling main site. Pay for membership and you get third party cover, at least with the "Ride" membership that I've got.
    MTB/CX

The code is TforL - hopefully it's still valid and the website is http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/

You don't need to sign up for the insurance you mentioned if you join british cycling - you get 3rd party insurance as part of your membership (british cycling is a national cycling organisation - I should have mentioned this before)

But if you want theft insurance etc - then you'll need a proper insurance...in which case no need to join british cycling :)

You might get 3rd party as part of your home & contents insurance. I went for BC anyway as they do proper legal representation. Apparently.

I'm looking to get my bike covered from theft - so think the insurance at less than a tenner a month is pretty reasonable? Do you guys not have your bikes covered in case of theft?

After the £10 Quidco cashback it is worth signing up to BC too - as you get a 10% discount on the insurance which means that you get the membership pretty much free.
