For some reason it confuses me, I don't know if it's the spacers, or the bars, or the saddle, or just the colours.

I'm liking it. A very nice looking machine!
  • Most feedback positive so far. I must say I'm quite surprised, expected one or two "over the top" comments.
When I first put the wheels on I thought it looked fantastic then a short while afterwards I thought it was maybe a bit "bling" but now I love it again.
It's funny when I was looking to buy a road bike I was thinking modern minimal graphics along the lines of Cube or Trek but fate conspired and I ended up finding a good deal on the Avanti.
There's part of me that feels quite proud to be flying the British flag in a market saturated with foreign imports.

I do have one problem however. The American classics are a bit of a pain to keep clean.
In addition the stock black brake pads are leaving a black line just outside the braking surface of the wheel. I've tried adjusting the positioning of them but there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid this.
I think the only option is a set of lighter coloured brake pads.
What brand and colour would you guys recommend ?

There's a wire from the plug socket making your rear spokes look bent.

Personally it's a bit too much is a polite way to put it, but it's just my opinion and as long as your out on it plenty good luck to you.

Just not round my way !
