I've just purchased a Carrera racing bike a couple of weeks ago. It seems a great looking frame (Columbus tubing) and is equipped with Suntour Supurbe Pro , 8 speed index system, Shiamno 600 (tricolor) brakes and cinelli stem and handlebar.
It goes great after I pulled apart and put back together.

My question is , who made these bikes back then, I would like some information or a web site that goes back this far.

Sounds more like Carrera of Italy to me. That spec is a bit exotic for a Halfords Carrera I'd have thought.
    Faster than a tent.......

Like Rolf said, there's more than one Carrera. The "proper" Carrera is over at www.carrera-podium.it

Yes, Italian Carrera, they also had a PRO team and guess who was riding in the Carrera team in 1994-1995?

A certain guy called Marco Pantani

And of course also Claudio Chiappucci

    Anyway, good stuff...
