Best forks for £600

My friend has got enough money to buy some decent forks.
He prefers to have the price lower but will stretch his budget if he really needs to.
He wants either dual air or coil air forks with the main focus on the damping efficiency.
Because he has a XC bike, he wants a fork length above 100mm and below 150mm.
If anyone has any suggestions please share 8)
Thanks

What bike exactly - 100-150mm is a massive range. What hubs does he have?0

he has a quick release hub but I don't know what the hub width he has. His bike is a Scott Aspect 20My god road cycling is scary! I'm going to keep my relaxing rides to the trails where everything is green, fast and less crazy.0

why is he spending £600 on a set of forks on a bike that is only worth £699 new?0

I honestly don't know but ill run that through with him to see if he realises that he could get a new bike with better forks. My god road cycling is scary! I'm going to keep my relaxing rides to the trails where everything is green, fast and less crazy.0
