I bought this frame earlier this year. However, as soon as it landed one of my mates 'had' to have it. He's rode it as a second bike for a couple of months, when I then decided I needed to have it back. Within a couple of hours it was rebuild using the parts from my Genesis.
I don't think the spec is has transferred over too badly. Probably going to change the stem for a 70mm one and longer term look to fit some Elixir's or XT brakes, but for the time being it should do the job.

Very nice!0

Thanks Chris.
Just picked up some Black Fox F90 RL forks. Should drop a little weight off the bike whilst also suiting the colours of the bike a little better.0 -
That's a 2006, so it's just got 3 years newer!0

Oh right, spot on. Didn't think it'd be that late with it still having canti mounts?0

Yep, they only went to that wishbone type stay in 2006, and still came with v-brake mounts. Think they kept them until the current slightly more swoopy shape.
2003 ones were either gloss red paint or black ano all over with outline white decals, and like I say they had an 'a-stay' type seat stay design.0 -
Excellent, thanks for your help!0

Fox forks landed today and promptly fitted.
Quick weigh in gets the bike at 25.8lbs. Little heavier than I expected, but there's quite a few parts on it that would drop the weight down.0 -

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but anyone want to buy one of these!? I have an identical frame (with slightmy more cosmetic signs of use) for sale!0
