As title I'm currently using a Easton ea90 stem, however I'm trying to shred a few grams here and there,
Is there any lighter stems out there ?

Anyone rate those exotic stems

    Great info given.

    What size bars and steerer?
    What length and rise?

And why as it will make next to no difference to anything.

You need to find out what yours weighs as is impossible to recommend lighter if we don't know what it weighs!

None of the exotic stems are any lighter - in fact very few will be unless you go for something like one of the Ritchey WCS stems or Extralight UltraStem - you might save 25g with the latter for about £150.

    Look here if you must.

A quick scan tells me that for 90mm you are struggling to make any massive gains, not least because 110g is pretty light.

Shouldn't you be deciding exactly what size stem you want first rather than "90mm max". A 40mm stem fits your spec but will handle a lot differently than a 90mm stem.

Why? Expensive, a hassle and not particularly light.

    Great info given.

You really can be a needlessly grumpy bastard! It's a very fair assumption that it's 1.125"/31.8 bars, based on the signature and the overwhelming majority of bikes these days. How is the length and rise relevant to the question? I don't know of a stem which is light in 90mm, but obscenely heavy in 100mm

You won't save a vast amount of weight, if you want proper light check out the Extralite UltraStem UL3 at 81g. Big money though, I'd not bother.

    ^^^^ This

You can do far lighter, and more reliable, for significantly less money. ActionSports.de have DT240s on your choice of Stan's rim with Revolution spokes for €500 (IIRC), which will be c1350g.

again that is assuming it is for that bike or any of the OPs bikes and not for one for a mate. that is why. I dont assume anything (well try not to). may be the OP wanted a really light Zero reach stem! as the EA90 is already a very light range.

So why not say that in your post, rather than laying into the OP for not stating what is potentially pretty obvious!

These are heavy for the money, a poor choice in my eyes.

Nick has a point, more info was definitely needed. When you are trying to save a few grams, it all makes a difference!
