Taper to non taper conversion - does it work?

Hello!
Just one more tech issue - then I will leave you alone =)
I have a bike with a taper shape frame.

I think about a fork that has a non - taper shape - for my bike (RockShox Lyrik Coil). Canyon has some kind of device to fit a non taper fork to a taper frame. They claim this works. Anyone that has a second opinion to give?

Cheers

There are many headsets out there that do this as well. There are also oversize crowns for some headsets.

So yes it is posible. Presuming the fork has a 1 1/8 th steerer tube.

Thank´s - do you know if it works as well as fitting a taper fork to a dito frame? To me it sems like it should work out fine. But as they say: better safe than sorry.

Makes no difference other than the claimed benefits of a tapered steerer.

    Whatever they may be.
