Hi,
Does any one ride a 2012 Yeti 575 in size XL, tried a large Today and thought it was a great bike but felt slightly on the small side (a little short in the top tube) if you have an XL can you let me know your thoughts, I am 6ft21/2 so right on the border between the two sizes.
cheers.

In case you don't get any replies - the geometry is on their site. An XL seems to gain a cm in wheelbase and .8cm in top tube. Seat tube is the same so if the legs were good it could give you the better feel you want. Also consider the test bike you rode, did it have a particularly short stem and was the seat reasonably pushed back which could be easy fixes (if it otherwise felt good) and also I have found in my experiance wider bars give the feeling of having a bit more room in the cockpit (i.e. did it have narrow/medium <690mm bars).Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320 -
Hi Tom,
Thanks for you reply, My legs were sound no problems there at all in seatpost length, my concern was I adjusted the saddle back all the way and it still didnt feel right, I could maybe have put a longer stem on and had the stem stacked another 15 mm or so and gone for a layback post, by doing this I am basicly trying to fit myself around the frame, I think if i went the next size up the length in the top tube and wheelbase would be there with not much else required, I woud imagine the saddle would sit in its natrual position also, I always seem to be in between sizes which makes it tough to decide I think XL would be the way would you agree?0 -
On what you've said (I'm 6'3" and encounter similar issues with bike sizes) I'd agree. Plus limiting yourself to a long stem is a problem as in my opinion (and alot of others at present) long travel trail bikes are best served by shorter stems and wider bars. And again having to have a high stack when lowering the front end is desirable is also an issue.
I'd personally go for the XL. :-)Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320
