Statement by the BBC
The BBC's agreement with the International Olympic Committee means we are not allowed to broadcast anything online outside the UK from the Olympic Park or Olympic venues.
As a result this programme may need to be blanked for International listeners due to rights issues surrounding Olympic content in programmes.
So, if anything interesting happens, you will tell me won't you?

The opening ceremony will be a mish of 'eastieenderers' and 'vicar of dibley' with her head caught in a vice for 2 hours... my predict anyway..0 -
ha ha! thanks for that.
...but as they already ban all TV broadcasts online outside the UK and I don't own a TV, I dont fully understand the references, is 'eastieenderers' a documentary about mental health and poor people and 'vicar of dibley' like a controversial cutting edge commentary on secularism in a patriarchal state run society?
I thought only China banned broadcasts on the internet.my isetta is a 300cc bike0 -

No news apart from the London Egg and Spon races will occur between now and Sept 10th. At least no news that they'd rather you didn't know about...0

So, the Rest of the World will be denied news of Trevor Nelson's sister. Life is so unfair.0

if you want to watch on iplayer, there are several vpn proxy services that will both mask your traffic from your local isp and make the service you connect to think you are located in the uk (or whichever country you buy the proxy service for)
i got it to let me use skype for making free/cheap calls when in dubai, the local telcos block skype etc., also lets me access iplayer etc. when travelling without the beeb knowing i'm not local
i use...

Trevor is the Radio 1 DJ who was giving an inane commentary on the opening ceremony. Lines such as " it's so much better seeing this live rather than on TV". He simply would not shut his mouth at all. His sister was in the crowd so he had to point her out to the whole world.
I'm not the only person who wanted him to shut up.0 -
Thanks for that MichaelW, it's almost like being there!
But at least the BBC will keep me in the dark about such pratsmy isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
Apparently Mr Cavendish failed to claim his Gold Medal. And the rest of the UK athletes have yet to achieve what was expected of them,. So unlike Britian, to host a bling games and then the athletes not quite make it when it matters...0
