which bike would you guys go for i am planning on doing the north east coast to coast ie sunderland to whitehaven

which bike would you go for i was planning on doing it on a road bike but had a change of mind

my work i have just found out do a bike to work scheme, but i cant apply till later in the year as they just do it every six months.

have decided to go for a mountain rather than road bike, too many nutter car drivers on road/plus been doing alot of research and bulk of coast too coast is old railway lines.

I can get upto 1000pound in budget but and i would pay monthly but finances are tight so i am going to limit myself too 500 so i aint paying 70-100pm out on a bike.

What are you guys thoughts on these

Apparently none of the bikes you have listed exist.

Take a look at Paul's Cycles, this Aspect 35 has a pretty decent spec for the money:

I thought the OP was purchasing through Evans because of the cycle 2 work scheme, but then it does say how he can't join it at this time. It's not exactly a very well worded post.

I think the point was that things change a lot in 1/3 of a year, more of this years stuff will be sold cheaper.
