Love this song by The Buff Medways, but can't find any such cycling club still going. Any knowledge out there?

Song references a 'Hobbs Supreme'. Only related bike I can find is this one, a Hobbs Blue Riband:-

    Not heard of that one!

I have heard of Wigmore CC.

And Medway Velo which had a strong association with Geoff Wiles I think.

Good song. And Chatham welcomes Desperate Men is a good poetry reading too.

Medway Velo are certainly still in business, a few of their riders contested the London CX League last season. White, red & green jerseys IIRC.

Thanks very much for posting that...

    Quite relevant...

I grew up in Rainham and Wigmore and used to ride with wigmoreCC, I was in the same class at school as the granddaughter of Len chambers mentioned in the lyrics, who had a cycle shop in Rochester and later Rainham.

In the early '80' we used to go and see Billy Childish play with his band, The Milkshakes, locally and in London.

He was dating Miss Emin at the time before she became a celebrated artist!
