It maybe an older model but i couldn't wait to get it out of the box and do the minimal re-assembly when the courier dropped it off earlier ;) Kinda inbetween frame size for the scott it seems (this one is medium) so i've barely got an inch between the pudding bag and frame but it's comfortable to ride though.
I was really surprised at how different it is to ride compared to my ancient GT Talera with equally ancient front shocks.
I wasn't expecting it to turn in so quick etc and nearly went a over t on some rough stuff (just a mere undulation prolly to peeps on here lol).
Apart from the rear brake making a screeching noise sometimes i love it tbh;).....are neoprene chainstay protector's worthwhile getting btw?, it does have a clear plastic one on but i expect that will be as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Already done ;) i was just eager to have a ride out on it.
Now i just need to start getting fit again and hopefully the ole a/cheeks will get used to the seat sooner rather than later lol

    Ta ;)
Think i'll order one then as it was a tad annoying hearing the chain slapping away over the rough stuff now and then.
I've realised how unfit i am at the mo, not overweight just lacking stamina but atleast this new bike is enjoyable to ride ;) just need to figure out what to do with my old neglected GT Talera now lol.

  • Did you get this from Paulscycles.com? If you did id like to know what their service is like. Nice bike for the money.

Aye they were recommended by some friends who live in norfolk, very helpful even though i only dealt with them over the phone as it's not exactly a quick trip from cheshire lol.
I recieved the bike 2 days after ordering and it was more than adequately packaged and only required the seat/post,front wheel, handle bars and pedals attaching.

    Nice bike.

I had a Reflex which was the old Aspect from around 2005 or 2006. Featherlight frame, superbly made.

Instead of neoprene guards (which are good) you can always wrap an old inner tube around the chainstay.

:) I've ordered a neoprene guard and one of those neoprene mud catcher thingies for the shocks. I've cut a strip of textured black gorilla tape and put that on the chainstay for now...doesn't look too out of place if i'm honest lol

Went for a bit of blast in the muddy stuff today, was a fun few hours but i am glad the bike didn't get too dirty seeing as i had to clean it when i got back which is a first for me lol.
