29ER tyre advice

Got a 29ER build underway and am now after tyres to complete the build. I mainly ride on natural terrain with roots, rocks, mud, shingle/sand. I'm looking for a quick tyre as the bike is going to be my "XC" bike but like about 2.2 sized tyres for volume. They will be going on crest rims and might end up going tubeless.

I was thinking of the maxxis advantage or contential X-King after reviews I'v read, any other reccomendations or feedback would be great.

Also after light innertubes.

Thanks

My 29er came with continental race king 2.2s and I'm happy with them now that I've got the pressure right in them. Saw a review on the mountain kings saying they're about the best out there so when I come to renew my rubber I'm going with either of these.

    Here's the write up:

    For your Requirements
    Maxxis Aspens.

    For more grip/technical
    Schwalbe Hans Dampf.

The Hans Dampf and mountian king are more tyre than I require, but might get some for the winter . . .

The Aspen looks good but only in a 2.1 and maxxis are always small. The kendas I'v tried (in a 26) and weren't for me.

I'v got nics on another bike and like them but would be interested to try something else.

Would like the maxxis Ignitor but again they only do a 2.1 in 29 size :(

Love my X Kings, i run a 2.4 upfront 2.2 at back, very fast rolling, but a little heavy compared to Schwabble (spelling?) but a great all rounder tyre, i run them tubeless no worries!
