OK, I know there's been a million different threads on here regarding this and I've ignored everyone but it's getting close now and wondered if anyone had the answers I need :)

I've got a ticket for 'Dormouse drive' (?) http://www.london2012.com/mm/Document/D ... eutral.pdf

And being up boxhill last night, the only big screen I can see is on the green opposite the viewpoint, Can anyone with a ticket for any part of the hill wander up there once the 9th lap has gone and watch the finish?

As far as i can see on the map there's alot of good empty places up the zig zag that'd be bloody good viewing, such a shame they've crammed 15,000 into a small portion of it.

Also, only got one lonely ticket so if anyone else is lonering it up, say hi :D

I'll be there on Dormouse drive.

No big screen for us monkeys. Just (probably appalling) commentary.

It'll be McCrossan wont it? Normally is for this kind of thing, I'm sure he was doing to finish commentary at the Giro too, You could hear him in the background on a tannoy.

Could be worse, could be Carlton ;) I'll be watching it on TV so no doubt we'll have Hugh Porter, can't slag him off, the father in law used to ride with him, nice chap apparently

I just hope it's not Hugh Porter too.

He doesn't know who any of the riders are.

I'm glad i never got a ticket now as with no screen as you say it'll be commentary which I'm sure will be dire.

I'm off to Denbies for the day. Might even try a bottle of their fine rose.

Me too (plus one), we're getting the train to Leatherhead and then over the course of the 9laps making our way down the A24 ending up at Denbies to watch the final run-in on the big screen.

Might be worth heading down to Denbies after the laps to get watch it on the screen if it's not too packed, hard to judge how many people will turn up tbh, denbies is only a 15 min walk from the bottom of the hill so shouldn't miss too much.

Hugh will be doing the BBC coverage I'm sure. I assume it's on Eurosport??

It is phew, just set it to record just in case!

I wonder how well the 3g network will cope, probably not very well.

When I worked in London I couldn't get a 3g signal sat by the window on the 6th floor of Westferry Circus.

    Me too, too.

Managed to drag my wife away from her morning row (that's rhymes with go, not how) although the prospect of mullering some of their finest probably convinced her. Train(s) to Dorking, watch them go past and then up to the wine lodge

Anyone know if there will be any commentary on DAB? I presume not?

DAB is a huge pile of poo.

Where I live we get no signal, where I work we get no signal and yesterday i drove to Leeds and back and was constantly losing signal in the car, ruined some great records on 6 Music.

+1 for Denbies...train up from sunny south wales, me and my 11 y.o. son, a day in the sun (hopefully), a few rose wines (not too many with the young 'un in tow!) , hopefully to cheer Cav to a glorious gold medal!
If Wales was flattened out, it'd be bigger than England!

Singlespeed Planet X Kaffenback for dodging potholes

I've just been tickets to Dormouse Drive

Shame no tv but hopefully it'll be worth the travel from Canning Town!
