I am thinking of getting one of teh above but am not sure of the differences between them.

The 40 doesn't have GPS and I really dont need it.

I am more interested in the heart rate and cadence monitoring.

thanks

All the Bryton units are GPS (with breadcrumb trail navigation) and both the 35 and 40 have full HRM and Cadence functionality. As it happens, there isn't a vast difference between the 35 and the 40. The 40 comes with some rather good pre-defined HR based workouts but you should be able to programme similar into the 35 anyway.

Where the 40 scores is the packaging. It's really neat - narrower and slimmer than the 35 it sits really neatly on the stem. The casing is better designed as well with a one piece top moulding incorporating the screen. It makes the 35 and Garmin 500 look a bit clunky by comparison. The 40s screen shows exactly the same info as the 35 but is slightly narrower (same height).

I haven't checked the price difference but the neatness of the 40 scores a lot for me. I don't like a bulky GPS unit on my stem if I can help it!
