On sale on Ebay. It appears to deal with my concerns about clamping carbon, the bike rests on the BB, and appears to be secured by a clamp on the down tube. Cheap price - but first time I've seen a stand like that.
Bit concerned about how well the large BB area on my carbon bike will fit on that rest actually.

Thanks, by coincidence I'm looking at the tacx cyclemotion workstand. More expensive than £30, but cheaper than the spiderteam.0

I used to have one that was basically the same thing and found it to be an unstable piece of junk. Shop around and find a standard one that holds the bike by the top tube
or seatpost. It doesn't have to be anything overly expensive and you'll like it a hell of a lot more than the one you're looking at.0 -

Thanks for the replies. Regarding the lidl workstand I do not want a workstand that clamps the bike. It is not advisable and risky with carbon frames.
So in the end I have purchased and received this http://www.tacx.com/en/producten/fietsg ... +stand.dot
Its one where the BB is supported and the front or rear wheel dropouts fix into quick release mounts on the stand.
Its great in a word. Much cheaper than the versions which spin around such as the Park Tools one or the other Tacx one referred to above. I'm happy not to have the spin.0
