I am trying to find a mountain bike for a beginner DH'er and my price range is £200-300, I have this in mind but I don't know if this is a DH bike or a XC bike. I am sure I can buy bigger forks and better shocks to make it a DH bike?

Have you looked at any of the advice you've previously been given?

You can't just buy a cross country bike & fit a longer fork to make it a downhill bike. You will snap the frame. Longer forks increase the leverage on the head tube.

IF YOU WANT A DOWNHILL BIKE, BUY A DOWNHILL BIKE

Downhill is an expensive sport, you need a very strong bike with very strong wheels, forks etc. These cost a lot of money. A set of downhill wheels alone is £400. A set of downhill forks is £600+ Downhill brakes are £400+ Downhill frames are £1000+ Downhill transmission is £500+
On top of that you need £100 for a helmet & goggles + £150 for armour & pads

YOU CAN'T GET A DOWNHILL BIKE FOR £300
