So i picked up my Pinarello FP Uno on Saturday, got fitted in store. I done 30 miles saturday and 25 on Sunday and have tender sit bones. Now I havent ridden for over 2 weeks prior so I guess some of it could have come from being out of shape. But i was wondering, am I right in thinking that it takes time to adjust to a new saddle, with respect of wearing it in and getting used to the new size and shape as it obviously is going to be different to my old saddle.
P.s new bike is amazing, its so responsive and smooth and the 105 shifters are fantastic, sometimes I can even feel the gear change. You can tell this cos the 30 mile ride I done in about 6 mins faster than my previous quickest time for that route and that was being out of shape as now rode for just over 2 weeks.

Yeah takes a few hundred miles but it could be that its not right for you. If it still hurts after 200 miles get a new one.0 -
If you have an old saddle that's comfortable why not put that on the new bike?
If you can't transfer it can you buy an identical one for the new bike?0 -

I would rather not put the cheap claud butler saddle off my old bike on my new pinarello. Anyway its no were near as sore than when I first started riding. Im sure I will adjust. Just need to MTFU.
Anyway did I tell you how fantastic my Pinarello is! Next stop is to become the second english person to win the tour de france, well before Froome does anyway.0 -

Don't be too proud. A severley sore bum will put you off riding (and potentially your new bike). If the old one works (and isn't a sofa) then consider swapping.0 -
I've slapped a Brooks B17* on my Racelight Tk. Looks a bit odd and just about doubled the weight of the bike, but it's soooo comfy.
