Have just joined this website, and posted an intro/few words..
I bought this recently, & it is step 1 on my plan getting back to a long given interest of mine!
So far..no issues at all, really pleased, but...step 2, my 'machine of desire' waits in the wings. ;)

Richey carbon seat post since been added, plus Schwalbe Lugano tyres & Shimano clipless pedals.

Looks quite nice in the light blue. Not renowned manufacturer but if it rekindles your interest and love in cycling it's a great thing. A friend of mine bought the Carrera Virtuoso and loved it. Be warned however that "machine of desire" in the wings might not be waiting so long if the bug takes hold :)

Enjoy your bike and welcome to the Forum..

The important thing is that you get out and ride. It's really not about the bike.
  • Thanks chaps, it's serving its purpose rather well right now. I need just need to prove that i am able to do this after all the back surgery. Spending a £1k+ on a higher spec bike and then not being able to ride it would be somewhat..annoying. :x

The Schwalbe tyres i fitted yesterday have made a noticeable difference .. i'm quite surprised, but then the original tyres were made from Bakelite!

Looks like your seat might need to come up how tall are you and how much bend is in your leg when your pedal stroke is at the bottom?

I have raised it a little since then, I'm 5' 9" & I found a measurement guideline using 109% of inside leg, then using the result to adjust the seat to lower crank pedal gap. Something like that?
It feels better but I may need to tweek a little more..
