Shwalbie tubular replacement

Has anyone ever had any dealings in having a defective tub/tyre replaced under manufacturing defects? Just had a brand new HT tubular thats valve seems to be leaking around the stem under the base tape... Would forget it with a tube but a £50+ tub it's a bit tougher to forget!

if it's not been glued etc. just contact the retailer for refund/replacement as it's unused and faulty
