Nice bike - very nice, apart from the bar tape (and for me the groupset)

I'm thinking about an s2, what size did you get. How tall/inseam?

Thanks guys, love it, best bike I've ever had, I know it's not much compared to some beauties on here but this is a bike thats better than me (no doubt!! ;))
It's a 56 and I'm 6 ft with a 32.5 inseam and run it with a 110 stem and it fits, But am waiting for a cadence sport fitting so hopefully he'll agree ;)
Will edit and add spec tomorrow as sleep calls now ;)

    Sweet build,

Love it, I have just purchased the R5, went into buy the S series, but for my style of riding and routes was advised the R5 would be more suited.

I was advised the 56cm as well, and we are the same height so hopefully it will be right :)

I was toying with all manufactures, and had narrowed it to 4 bikes, Bianchi Oltre, Cervelo, Sworks, and Cannondale. But after reading reviews and seeing the frame in the flesh it was an easy call.

Let me know what it is like in the real world, would be interesting to do a comparison S2/R5.

    Cheers

Looks awesome. Hardcore set up and great choice of kit (personal choices like bartape and pedals aside).

Saddle wise, the Fizi:k Arione is perfection in my book. The problem I have with my romin is there is only one comfortable position, whereas the Arione feels like you can sit right at the back or right at the front is equal comfort dependent on how you want to ride at that moment. Felt right from day 1. The only issue I have had is that it was white and didn't respond well to the meths I used to clean it and is now a dirty streaky grey/brown.

not far off perfect imo! cervelos just look awesome with the right kit on and yours is certainly no exception!

as for the saddle, i use an arione as well, works for me.

    Great bike.

@Cornish-J - Not sure which bit of the county you're in, but have you seen the Cervelo builds Cycle Logic create in Helston? Some lovely stuff there. They were building an R3 when I was in there last. Gorgeous in the flesh. I'm banned from going in there now...!

  • Hi mate,
Finally picked up my s2 frame! How long did you cut the gear cable outers for the gears to allow the cables to run under the stem like that?
    Cheers

re: cables, I have to admit I got the LBS to build this up for me as I didnt fancy making a hash with this frame. I just took them a photo of cables cut like that and asked if they could do it. Sorry, not much help I know

Great bike though and only feels right when ridden fast!!

I'm loving your bike but i'm not a fan of the tape i'm afraid but that's just a personal choice at the end of the day .

A few have said that, out of interest why not? colour? texture?

In all fairness, for me, its probably the most comfy tape I have every used, so it is personal choice I guess

You might want to re-think that - or are them wheels really less than 200g?

I should clarify, thats was the weight with my mavic kysrium elites attached, I am hopeful that the added extras have not pushed it too far over 7kg

I just don't like the looks of it as it just looks cheap to me but if your happy with how it looks and feels then that's all that matters at the end of the day ;) .
