Many crashes in the Tour caused by fans. Almost never seen in the Giro.

    Yeah, quite a few times.

    One of my favourite wins of all time came after a dog crash took out Casar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rMAPX1SVRQ). I also heard it on French Tv at the time I think and Madiot was basically crying.

    I'd call that a statistical likelihood. There appears to have been a lot of riders swiping at the idiots in the mountains this year. It could be because the the events are fresh in my memory.

    Burghardt tested his wheel on an unsuspecting labrador. Like then, its owner seemed somewhat reluctant to accept responsibility for it.
