Bike lights

Looking for some bike lights. Never used them before. Ideally i dont want to spend a fortune, but dont want rubbish either. Would have to be good enough for canals, cycle paths and roads. Would also like a decent battery life, dont want to have to change em every 2mins. Any suggestions? Cheers!
