Text to check a stolen bike?

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a company that does a service where you text the frame number of a bike and they text you back if its nicked?

Someone mentioned it to me but I can find any details...

    Not sure about a text check service but the only scheme I know of where the public can quickly find out about a bikes' history is bike shepherd. IIRC you get a QR code sticker for your bike and need a smartphone to read it and retrieve the history.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
