XT 2x10 outer ring replacement 104BCD

Hi, need an outer for my chainset, preferably 38t, but 40t is good, i'd like something tougher than the original XT soft cheese one, with all this weather its pretty much ground itself out.

I initially thought about the middleburn hardened slickshift 104/39T but looking at their site i'm not sure if they work with 10spd... I have emailed them but they seem a bit slow in responding... can anyone confirm or have any recommendations for an alternative?

9spd rings work with 10dpd chains, i used a 38t TA specialites on the HD before going 1x10 got a good year out of it, which is pretty good considering the mileage it did and its light alu
