I got a quote for a bike from Evans last on Monday and submitted it, so now my company have sent off for the voucher. Anyway I went onto the site today to see whether it had come back on stock (it wasn't when I got a quote for it) only to discover that they had knocked £200 off the price...

My question is what can I do about it?... do you think Evans can give me £200 worth of accessories or am I just stuck paying over the odds now that I've sent off for the voucher

  • The voucher is just a voucher. And the scheme lets you get associated cycling kit as well, so fill yer boots! Clothing, helmets, pumps, clothing, what have you!

With Evans you can actually go over the voucher value if you want.
  • I guess it depends on the retailer.

When I got my voucher I had received a quote from Decathlon and the price of the bike had dropped when I received my voucher, they refused to let me have the bike at the lower price as a quote had been given and rightly said "If the bike had gone up in price you would argue that the quote is the quote and your not paying the higher price"

Your best bet is to check with the retailer before getting your hopes up.
