Specialized epic

Can anyone give a review or comments about the alu and cf epics please. Seem to get good reviews and seems to fit the bill for what I want I.e xc full sus and is in budget.

    Friend has the Carbon epic 29er and loves it
    only problem he has had is the BB gone twice in a year but he rides it loads
    one other thing the mud clearance is not great as he found out a the Bontrager Twentyfour12

    Mud clearance isn't great on any of the Spesh bikes!

    Ride one, it's unlikely anyone who owns one will say they don't like it. A number of friends have 2012 S-Works ones and really like them. I had 2007/08/09 S-Works and they were excellent bikes, dogged a bit with shock reliability, but that's sorted now.
