5423 have written about it at least

Personally, I still use Endomondo for tracking and only export specific rides to Strava as a .gpx. There aren't that many users in my area, and most of them are roadies anyway.

  • I used it for the first time yesterday, seemed to do the trick, easy to use and easy to upload too.

I do. Even though the only routes shown in my local woods are the ones I've created with the app, it's a nice way to keep track of myself.

There's also sportstracker a mate uses it and it gives very good and accurate detail. It's also good for working out the trails we use in forests, obviously google earth can't see through the trees.

I really like Strava, can see it would be a bit lame if there weren't many folk around you using it.

I use SportTracks 3.1 to analyse my rides. Was interested in the segment element of Strava. Not sure if there are many other riders around this neck of the woods using it. Might sign-up just to take a look.

    Some good Strava add-ons here...

Multiple Ride Mapper = everywhere you've ever been, and better still anywhere anyone who's been through a specified segement has ever been, so you can see new possibilities for routes.
RaceShape = see where you gain/lose time against others on the leaderboard for a segment
SegmentDetails = the history of the KOM on a segment

But remember it's just a bit of fun, and being fast is not always the best way to have fun.

I use Endomondo, doesnt drain the battery too much.
Even has a low battery mode, which is great.

and cause you to hammer down the trails and likely crash. I'm getting quite good at that.
