Ok I just checked Corinthians 12:3 (And I knew this man, if in a body or if without the body, I do not know, God himself knows) - you told a porky!

Everybody knows there's a lot of latitude in interpreting the dubious translations of the sacred words. Had bikes, credit cards and wallets been invented in the olden days, I'm sure there'd be something relating to your predicament.

Jesus says Cavendish will finish in the pack, 2 minutes behind the breakaway. It will rain in the morning but brighten up for the afternoon, with a light breeze.

will you give me some more sporting prophecies? I'd like to put some money on them.

yeah me too! - That is unerringly correct - hang on not sure was it raining in the morning? I couldn't tell because I was having a new fuse box in so missed the first 3 hour of the race - made the electrician promise to finish before the end of the RR though!
  • You : Hey Boss, that guy over there has damaged my bike

Him : Have you spoken to him about it ?

You : Yes, he says he won't pay

Him : So whats it go to do with us/the company ?

You : Well, the bike was in the office and he tripped over it

Him : The bike was where - in the office ???

You : Yes, over there in the row of unused desks

Him : Okay, so you're telling me you brought a bike inside the building instead of using the bike racks, it got damaged and you think I am getting involved ? By the way, did you do a hazard/risk assessment for bringing in a dirty piece of machinery into the office without approval ?

You : well, no, but its valuable

Him : Not as valuable as my motorbike but I manage to leave mine outside. From today, no bikes allowed in the building and no, we will not get involved as you should not have had it inside the building in the office area without approval or consideration for others. If it appears inside again, we will have it removed to a skip outside.

You : Sulks ..... blames everyone else

Jesus says that Shanaze Reade will fail to proceed from the BMX semi-final. He was a bit busy and didn't say why, but based on previous performances I'd imaging it will be another crash. Jesus says that Magalie Pottier will win the final by a couple of lengths.

Sounds like you were expecting to buy the tool anyway, so apart from getting it sooner than you expected then maybe no harm done.

If you charged him the £50 for the tool then you would have to give it to him too - he would effectivley own it if he bought it.

Dont see how you would have cause to charge him anything, but you certainly have reason to be annoyed with him - whether the bike should have been there or not.

yep that is basically what I am saying - there is no way I could charge him for the tool - but I would have loved to have "punished" him in some imaginative way - it was careless at least of him.

the main criterion is do you work with him/share desk or office space? If so you could drop a few hints but if not taken up then leave it unless you don't mind annoying people you have to spend all day around.
