Why do they always seem to use mahoosive boxes for tiny products?
I ordered a 5mm FSA spacer that came in a huge box, Why not just a padded envelope?
They never seem to change the size of the packaging lol no matter what the size of the product is.

Go to their FAQS. They answer your very question.
The answer is, if you can't be arsed, is that one box makes it quicker for them and easier to fullfill orders more speedily.

They did an article on CRC on here a while back that was a guided tour of their warehouse. Their entire packing line is automated, so someone chucks in your order into a big box on a conveyor belt, and then a clever machine takes the big box and cuts it down to size. Obviously, there is only so small you can make a big box though. It can be annoying, especially if you've ordered something small and you know the postie isn't just going to be able to pop it through the letterbox.
Edit: Here it is!
and even a video of it in operation0 -
My last CRC order arrived in a padded envelope.
I feel cheated. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

A large amount of orders went missing too apparently, something small like a bag or envelope is easy to go missing/get nicked in the post, so they switched for that reason too0

I love the big boxes. I purposefully order dust caps, spacers and other small items just so I get the big boxes.
