I may have posted this before, I don't remember....

Anyway, I received an e-mail from an ex pat colleague based in the USA;

The e-mail read;

'regarding the vociferous situation at XXXXXXXXX, I will reach out to you this afternoon GMT'

I feel that 'reaching out' to me is a bit sinister, so, I am hoping that he just phones me.

This guy is from Derby, originally.

Is it me or as the job title takes control of the brain, the bullsh1t level increases?

    It is management meeting osmosis.
    None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

    Americans find English accents quaint. They find American slang in an English accent plain funny.

    Coming across as a tool on both sides of the Atlantic is very possible.

    I have family in San Fran so go there once a year or so. When I'm out and about and speak to locals in my (admitedly) London accent I often get asked 'Are you Ostraliern?' in a Californian drawl. Bloody cheek!

    They can't pronounce Tango Whiskey Alpha Tango either. It sounds more like Twot and rhymes with swot, which is how they pronounce SWAT which should rhyme with Tango Whiskey Alpha Tango.

    Septics, eh? They need to learn to talk proper, like what I do.
