Hi Guys
I'm about to buy a new style Cotic BFe and i'm just trying to figure out what forks to go with it.
X-Fusion Velvet RL2:

Rockshox Sektor RL - Solo air

Both get good reviews and seem to be alot of fork for the money. I suppose I'm mainly after anyone's opinion who has the X-fusions? What do you think? plush? flexy? etc etc
I know I could get the Rockshoxs cheaper on Merlin but I do need a shock pump and would quite like the spare seals you get with the them which I think you get from CRC but not from Merlin as they are the OEM forks.
All advice much appreciated!
Thanks!

I rode a Big Hit with X-Fusion forks, they are quite nice. The only thing that would put me off is that TF Tuned & Mojo don't service X-Fusion at the moment.
I'm pretty sure that the forks from Merlin come with pumps (phone them and ask).Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I could be wrong but I think I've read that part of the reason Merlin forks are so cheap is because they are OEM, so no box, seals, pump etc. I could be wrong, anyone bought some Rockshox from Merlin recently get a pump and seals etc?
Let me know.
Thanks.0 -
Merlin usually come without, but isn't a deal breaker really. I'd get this:

Is lighter and more adjustable than either fork, and has a better damper.0 -
Thanks Supersonic
I had seen those, but i'm not liking the handlebar remote. Is there anything I can do about that to easily convert to crown lockout?
Thanks.0 -
Yep, is a guide in the Workshop FAQ on how to convert.0

I know a few people who have bought forks from Merlin recently because of their stupid cheap prices & they have come with a pump. There was a post in one thread from someone from Merlin explaining that they come with everything you always get and are no different to the full price forks, same dampers etc.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I sent Merlin a quick email and actually i only asked specifically about the Sektors and they said they didn't come with a pump or seals. They did say they were expecting more 2012 Revelations in at some point with crown lockout. Which is nice.0

Pumps are cheap - no reason for it to be a deal breaker.I don't do smileys.

Just checked Merlin's website and they have both the Revelation RL and RLT crown lock out in stock. Is the RLT worth the extra £40.00?
I understand the difference to be with the RLT you can adjust the floodgate threshold for when the fork is locked out essentially choosing how big a hit is required for the fork to move when its locked out. Does that make sense? is that right?
Thanks again guys.0 -
You can adjust the threshold with RL too, only difference is you need a 2.5mm allen key to do it. So not worth it (with Rebas, the RL is fixed floodgate, nos so with Revs).0
