Advice on new pedals?

Hi guys,
I would like to buy a new pedal with good grip. I cannot make my mind on those two models.
Wellgo 54
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=5199
Wellgo 143
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=52877
the second model can fit a toe clip.
I ride a kind of a hybrid bike Kona Smoke with 29 tyre size. I cycle a bit on city asphalt and many times on rough, mountain roads like those one with the very same bike. Sorry that I cannot manage to send attachment with the upload feature so i send some links. That is not my bike in the last picture but you will get the point. This are some images for those mountain roads:

Any advice on pedals?
Cheers,

Try the Wellgo MG1:

Nice large platform, excellent grip, good bearings and an all in weight of just 380g. Best pedal there is for this money.0 -
Thanks for the info Supersonic. I will check them out. They look quite nice maybe a bit smaller than Wellgo 143. Is magnesium better then?
Cheers,0 -
It's just lighter! Not quite as tough in an impact say, but even then I use them for hard MTBing, and have had plenty of rock strikes. No probs at all!0

thanks for the good data! Regards.0

I have a set of the B54s and I really like them as they're super grippy even when its v wet.
Yeah the MG1s seem to be the pedal of choice around here, I asked pretty much the same question well over a year ago and got the "get MG1s" except there weren't any available when I wanted them! Hence the B54s."I have a plan, a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a fox." (from the Blackadder TV series)0 -

Thanks for the feedback...the B54 look like a very strong pedal. Aren't the MG1s a bit fragile? Magnesium supposed to be light but a not as strong as aluminium...i think. What do you think? Because there is NO price difference between both of them at Chain Reaction website.0 -
I've hammered MG1's, plenty pedal strikes and hard use. They are not exactly fragile.I don't do smileys.
